CAN communication is available in both, the helical and the spherical scan mode. Predefined automation interface CAN messages are used to control the scanner and to integrate data into the scan data stream. The automation CAN ID field is used as a command key and the automation CAN data field is used for parameter or data.
The automation CAN message format follows the CAN 2.0A standard with an 11-bit identifier and up to 8-byte of data. The CAN bus baud rate is 1 Mbit/s.
