The FaroArm is portable and can be mounted in a variety of environments. The counterbalance provided by the tension spring generates torque at the base of the FaroArm, allowing ease of mobility. The FaroArm is not designed to be mounted sideways, on a wall, or upside down. This will affect accuracy and stress the equipment. Therefore, the FaroArm must always be mounted in an upright position.
The only exception to this is some legacy model arms that were specially designed to be mounted upside down. These are referred to as Inverted Arms.
