Issues After Windows 10 Updates on the Freestyle2 Mobile PC

Symptom

If the Windows version on the Mobile PC was updated (only Windows 10 updates, not the update to Windows 11) by the customer, the connection to the Freestyle might not work anymore (3 LED buttons on the device keep blinking).

Solution

  1. Connect the Mobile PC to a monitor using an HDMI cable.
  2. Right-click on the Windows Start icon  in the lower left corner of the screen.
  3. Select “Device Manager”.
  4. Search for “Realtek USB GbE Family Controller”
  5. Right-click on the item and select “Properties”
  6. Go to the “Driver” tab and select “Roll Back Driver”
  7. At the next screen, select “My apps don’t work with this driver”, then click “Yes”
  8. The driver version should now be: 10.5.920.2015
