Reference Plate Calibration File Download for the Freestyle
Overview
The Freestyle scanner is calibrated before shipping, but if you drop or knock the handset, or if it has been subjected to large changes in temperature, you should compensate it—just to be sure that it is ready to accurately capture. The best time to compensate the device is on-site, right before capturing. See the Freestyle 2 User Manual or Freestyle3D User Manual for the compensation procedure.
Compensation involves capturing the reference plate from different angles and at different heights. Each Freestyle kit includes a reference plate and a corresponding calibration file which is found on the provided USB flash drive that is included with the unit. However, if you have misplaced the USB flash drive or do not have access to it, the reference plate calibration file can be downloaded below.
The calibration file is specifically matched to each reference plate. Locate the serial number of your reference plate, (on the back of the plate starting with the letters "CP") and enter it in the field provided below then click Submit.
