Eye Safety Information for the Laser Tracker
Yes, the Tracker's laser is eye safe. The human blink reaction to bright light provides a natural mechanism of protection to the trackers visible laser beam. The infrared laser beam is harmless to the eye. For comparison purposes, the Tracker is the same classification as the Laser Line Probe (Class II). Many pen style laser pointers used for presentations are more powerful than the Laser Tracker, they are Class III.
