Hardware Needed for Connection of a Cobalt Array to the Host Computer

To use several Cobalt 3D Imagers in an array, connect each Cobalt to a single computer through an Ethernet network hub or switch. The Cisco 100 Series Unmanaged Switches offers high-performance, business-class switching capabilities that are affordable and ready to use. For example, for an array with four Cobalt 3D Imagers, FARO recommends using the Cisco SG100D-05 5-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch or SG110D-05-EU for European installations. Check with your IT department to make sure you use the correct switch for your computing environment.
