Computer System Requirements for SCENE

Overview

Before you install the latest version of SCENE, check that your system meets the minimum system requirements. 

System Requirements

Minimum specifications listed are suitable for scan resolutions up to 1/4, projects of less than 10 scans, and when stereo rendering is not required.

Hardware Minimum Recommended
Accessories Mouse with two buttons and a scroll wheel 3D Connexion Space Mouse with latest drivers (setting described in the User Manual)
Network card is required for licensing SCENE 
Dedicated Graphics Card OpenGL 4.3 or higher, at least 4 GB memory

For VR Rendering:
  • NVIDIA 1060GTX or similar
  • Oculus Rift S
  • Oculus with Oculus Touch Controllers or HTC VIVE
  • SteamVR

For PanoCam Scan Processing:

  • DirectX 11 Feature Level 11.0
 Open GL 4.3, at least 8 GB memory
 

For VR Rendering:

  • NVIDIA 1080GTX or similar
  • Oculus with Oculus Touch Controllers or HTC VIVE
  • SteamVR

For Stereo Rendering*:

  • NVIDIA Quadro

For PanoCam Scan Processing:

  • DirectX 11 Feature Level 11.0
Hard Disk 512 GB Solid State Drive 1 TB Solid State Drive + Regular HDD
Internet Connection SCENE licensing and sharing scan data with colleagues require an internet connection.  
Main Memory At least 32 GB RAM 64 GB RAM
Operating Systems Microsoft Windows 11 (64-bit) Microsoft Windows 11 (64-bit)
Processor Quad-core, with at least 2-GHz (for example, Intel Core i7) 8 physical cores (for example, Intel Core i7, Core i9 or Xeon)
