You will have to obtain the MAC address of the laptop and send that to FARO Support as your system ID (instead of the one FARO Scene reports). The MAC address can be found by going to the MS DOS prompt (Start > RUN > key in "cmd") and keying in "ipconfig /all". A list of your ethernet connections will appear. Look up your main ethernet connection (most likely LOCAL AREA CONNECTION), then underneath it, record the physical address (also known as the MAC ID). See below for an example.
NOTE: Ensure the MAC ID address does not have any dashes when sending it to Support.
Once that MAC ID is sent to a customer service specialist and inputted into FARO Scene's license generator, the license should work correctly.
