Download and Installation for FARO Sync Agent
Overview
FARO® Sync Agent is a free desktop tool that manages the data synchronization of SCENE or As-Built Modeler projects between the local computer and FARO Sphere. Other users can "see" projects that have been uploaded to Sphere directly in Sync Agent. The project can then be downloaded to their local computer to finalize the project (cleaning, moving objects filter, final registration etc.).
Once complete, the changes/updates can be uploaded back to Sphere using Sync Agent (only the changes are uploaded and not the full project). This saves time and bandwidth and ensures that the most up-to date project data is stored in Sphere.
Download FARO InTouch
FARO Sync Agent can be downloaded via FARO InTouch. FARO InTouch is a software distribution and management application which streamlines the downloading, installation, updating and execution of FARO software.
With the auto-update option enabled, users can now benefit from always having the latest version installed, without the hassle of manually downloading and installing every time a new version is released. To reduce icon clutter on the desktop, InTouch allows individual FARO software applications to be launched directly from the InTouch UI. For more information see: Download and Install FARO InTouch

Sync Agent Installation
- Open InTouch and locate the Sync Agent application.
- Click Install. The Sync Agent application will be downloaded and installed on your computer. Once complete click Run.
- You will be prompted to login to your Sphere account. Enter your credentials and click LOG IN.
- FARO Sphere will now prompt you to allow Sync Agent to access your Sphere account, click Accept.
- Click on the Workspace name you wish to access and then click the Select Workspace button.
- Sync Agent will connect to your Sphere workspace and display the projects within that workspace.
- If you have performed changes on a project, click on the “refresh”
button to update the project list.
