Error-Unable to Connect to Primary Input Device Using Measure X, 4 or 3
If your FaroArm or Tracker is properly connected to the computer and all the connection cables have been checked for damage, review the following steps:
- Once your software boots up and you receive the error, click 'Setup'
- A Device Setup window will appear.
- You will now select the appropriate FARO Device you are having trouble connecting with.
If you are using the Faro Serial Arms (Gold, Silver, Sterling, Bronze models) then double click 'FaroArm Portable Coordinate Measurement Machine.' You will notice under Status and 'loaded' text should appear. Click 'Okay' and you should have connectivity with the arm.
If you are using the Faro USB Arms (Platinum, Titanium, Gage, Advantage, Digital Template models) then double click 'FaroArm - USB Portable Coordinate Measurement Machine.' You will notice under Status and 'loaded' text should appear. Click 'Okay' and you should have connectivity with the arm.
If you are using the Faro Laser Tracker then double click 'Faro Laser Tracker Portable Large Scale Coordinate Measurement Machine.' You will notice under Status and 'loaded' text should appear. Click 'Okay' and you should have connectivity with the tracker.
