Upgrade Fails from an Older Version of Measure to Measure X
Starting from Measure 3, users have had the ability to upgrade their program files to the next revision of the software. The typical upgrade path is as follows: Measure 3.7 to Measure 4.0 to Measure X. The user can assume that Measure 3.92 files can be read in Measure 4.0.
If receiving a failed conversion, try the following:
-Open the file (*.xln or *.sct) in its native software (if using a Measure 3.7 file, open the software in Measure 3.7)
-Go to File > Save As...
-Push the Duplicate button
-Give it a slightly different name
-Save the file
-Find the location of the file, copy it, and paste it into its own folder (preferably on the desktop)
-Close the native software and open up the next software in the aforementioned typical upgrade path
-Go to File > Learn/Execute > Learn/Execute, choose your corresponding file
-Go to File > Upgrade to...
-Find the path of the folder you just made
-Select the file and choose to convert it
It is possible to convert multiple files simultaneously, however, you can only duplicate a file one at a time.
