PhotoCore GmbH was founded as a spin-off of ETH Zürich in 2018 and was converted to AG in 2012. The goal was to make the 3D measurement and modeling simple and accurate by using photogrammetry and computer vision techniques. To this aim, PhotoCore developed three software products, which were branded as FOVEX:
Among these products, FOVEX PanoMaker and FOVEX 360s, were bundled and sold together with a camera hardware, which are manufactured by Seitz Phototechnik AG. In 2018, FARO® acquired PhotoCore AG. The acquisition supports FARO’s long-term strategy to improve the existing and future software offerings with innovative photogrammetry technology.
PhotoCore software products have reached their end of life and it is no longer possible to activate any new licenses.
PhotoCore software installation requires the license key and connection to PhotoCore server for its activation. The website was shut down in February 2022 and it is unfortunately not possible to activate any licenses.
Unfortunately, it will not be possible to generate any new licenses of PhotoCore. You can use alternative image stitching software. An example would be PtGui.
The camera hardware operates independently from the software. If, for any reason, you cannot use PhotoCore anymore, it is always possible to pair your hardware with other software, like PtGui.
