With the release of As-Built™ for AutoCAD^® Software and As-Built™ for Autodesk Revit^® 2018, FARO^® puts PointSense and associated Plugins to legacy status.

As-Built for Autodesk Revit replaces PointSense for Revit. It contains all functionality of former PointSense for Revit.
As-Built for AutoCAD Software replaces PointSense for AutoCAD as well as the other FARO AutoCAD plugins (TachyCAD/DistToPlan for AutoCAD, PhoToPlan for AutoCAD, hylasFM/MonuMap for AutoCAD).
As-Built Suite replaces PointSense Suite. It contains As-Built for AutoCAD and As-Built for Revit.

Released 15 Jun 2018, the latest update providing enhanced tools for accelerating point cloud modeling for AEC professionals in Revit^®. The new release provides users with new tools for fitting and alignment of structural elements and a new Contrast Factor value improves point cloud appearance.

Users can now quickly and accurately fit structural elements, such as steel beams and columns, into the point cloud for the first time. Tailored components can be automatically preselected and inserted using intelligent algorithms with full user control of the process. In addition, the transfer of scan data from SCENE 7.1 to Revit^® is simplified. The new SendToRevit App enables the seamless transfer of coordinates from the Scan View into PointSense for Revit^®.
