Compensating the Laser Line Probe (LLP) Using USB FaroArm Driver 6.0.2.3 and Earlier
Overview
To make sure your project has the most accurate measurement results, always calibrate (also known as compensate) your FaroArm and FARO® Laser Line Probe (LLP) before you start your measurement project.
- Click here to check the version number of the driver installed on your computer to be sure you use the correct instructions. If the version number is 6.0.2.3 or earlier, use the instructions in this article. If not, click here to use more recent instructions.
- Download the appropriate USB FaroArm Manual for step-by-step instructions about calibrating your FaroArm, ScanArm, or LLP.
- Open the manual and type Calibration in the Search field to find the instructions.
- Watch the video below for an overview of how to do the steps.
NOTE: When you have finished taking the 9-points on the calibration plate with the ball probe, remember to pull back from the plate and click the red button on the handle before continuing to calibrate the laser beam of the LLP.
