Reference Target Placement for Automatically Registering Scans in SCENE
Overview
FARO® SCENE can automatically detect reference targets and register related scans when you place the targets within the suggested range for the FARO Focus Laser Scanner. This saves you a lot of work manually identifying targets and registering related scans.
Details
The correct target placement depends on the target type, the scan resolution setting, the size of the reference targets, and how close or far away you place targets relative to the scanner.
Note: Regardless of the target type or size, the distance between the scanner and the target should never be less than 1m.
