Enabling Warning or Point Confirmation Sounds from the Serial FaroArm

If you find that your sounds are not working when your Serial FaroArm is turned on or you wish to have the warning sounds for your Arm and Software, you will want to follow the following steps to verify that they are set up correctly.

  1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices. At this screen make sure in the Device Volume section the sound is not muted.
  2. Go to the Sounds tab and make sure you have the CAM2 Measure sound events listed. If there is not a scheme for FARO, you can create one if you wish, but it is not necessary as long as the sounds are listed. You can just select the windows default and make sure the CAM2 sound events are in the list. Then save it as the FARO scheme.
  3. Click Apply and OK to exit.


Next, open the CAM2 Measure software. Go to Device > Hardware Config and make sure the Stress Stops are enabled.
