Working with Large Coordinates in Revit

Overview

The following video outlines a workflow to reduce large coordinate point clouds to a smaller coordinate system for use in Revit.

Once this is done, you will be able to identify coordinates with the annotation tools of Revit (like the Spot Coordinate tool) and they will show the large coordinate values even though the data is actually in smaller coordinates. This makes the data more navigable and easier to work with in general and allows all of the As-Built tools to work without giving the error that the data is outside of the project limits.
