Close Surfaces and Full Color Detail Options for Project Point Clouds in SCENE
When creating a project point cloud with SCENE 6 and later, there are two options that increase the visual quality of the point cloud.
- Close Surfaces--Check this option if you want additional points interpolated between the original scan points to create a more dense impression of the surfaces. The color or gray scale value of these additional points is also interpolated.
- Full Color Detail--Check this option if you want the color of the extrapolated points to be retrieved from the laser scanner's high resolution camera images. Additional even smaller points are interpolated to transfer the color information from the camera images into the point cloud. By using the camera images, smearing effects are reduced and more color details are visible in the project point cloud
