Developer Manual for the FARO LS SDK
The FARO LS SDK is no longer being developed; the final release was on February 16, 2022. Support is no longer being provided for the FARO LS SDK.
FARO provides the SCENE API and LS Web API to contracted partners which enables application engineers to create custom software to read, write and change SCENE files and to control FARO Focus laser scanners.

Overview
This manual shows software developers how to install, license, and use FARO Laser Scanner (LS) COM interfaces to build custom software. With these interfaces you can open and read SCENE .fls and .fws files containing scan points or control the Laser Scanner basic operations, such as start scan, change scan resolution, or change scan area.
To get the COM interfaces, contact FARO Support. The Agent will give you a Non Disclosure Agreement to sign, which starts the approval process. Once the signed agreement has been received and approved, the Agent will email you a link to the software.
