Reset Legacy Username and Password for GeoSLAM Connect
Overview
This article provides a workflow how to reset a username or password in GeoSLAM Connect or what to do if there are errors when installing the new version of GeoSLAM Connect.
Procedure
To reset the username and password used to log in to GeoSLAM Connect, you currently have to uninstall the software completely and reinstall it.
(IF YOU DO NOT HAVE DATA YOU NEED TO SAVE SIMPLY Delete the whole C:\ProgramData\LidarOs folder AND THEN REINSTALL THE SOFTWARE AND RESET YOUR LOGIN AND PASSWORD)
- Go to C:\ProgramData\LidarOs and make a backup of the folders \geoscripts and \projects (to save data/any scripts you may have added):
- Uninstall GeoSLAM Connect.
- Delete the whole C:\ProgramData\LidarOs folder.
- Reinstall the latest version.
- Restart the machine.
- Copy and paste into the newly created \projects folder any data you had in the copy of the C:\ProgramData\LidarOs\Projects folder (see step 1).
- Copy and paste into the newly created \geoscripts folder any scripts you had in the copy of the C:\ProgramData\LidarOs\Geoscripts folder (see step 1).
Now start GeoSLAM Connect again, and you will be able to create a new user account:
