Changing Measurement Units in SCENE Process
Quick Steps
- Open the Windows Registry Editor.
- Navigate to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\FARO\SCENE Process7\Settings.
- Adjust the UnitDisplayLength value to the desired unit. See unit table below for values.
Overview
SCENE Process provides measurement distance values in meters by default. The application's measurement units can be changed by altering the Windows registry.
Details
- Use the Windows Run command to run the RegEdit program by pressing Windows Key + R and typing Regedit in the dialog box. Press the OK button.
- In the Registry Editor window, Navigate to the Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\FARO\SCENE Process7\Settings registry directory by pressing the > symbols to access sub-directories.
- Click the Settings icon and locate the UnitDisplayLength value in the column on the right side of the window.
- Double click the UnitDisplayLength icon and enter the number corresponding to the desired measurement unit in the pop-up box. The change should take affect the next time you run the SCENE Process software.
