In addition to our virtual classroom options, we also offer the option to train at your location for an additional cost. FARO RevEng™ 2020 Self-Paced Training
FARO RevEng is a user-friendly 3D point cloud capture, mesh generation and advanced editing software solution that offers an array of powerful tools for processing mesh models quickly and efficiently. RevEng helps users to create high-quality 3D mesh models as well as prepare the models for downstream CAD development. Combined with FARO’s portfolio of 3D scanning products, users are able to easily capture and edit meshes in color to create the perfect model or CAD-ready file.
Data ranging from high-resolution color point clouds to simple mesh files can be transformed into detailed meshes, providing more insight into the design, composition and visual differentiation between materials and textures. This course will cover the interface and typical workflow options to bring you from scan to mesh in FARO RevEng.
FARO Visual Inspect: Up and Running
The Visual Inspect Up and Running course demonstrates the function of Visual Inspect, including unboxing, registering the software, importing assets, navigating the user interface and scanning a part. Upon completing this course, you will be able to set up and use your Visual Inspect system.
Reverse Engineering with the FARO ScanArm and GeoMagic
This course demonstrates reverse engineering a part, from scanning to exporting as a CAD model.
Service Plans Overview
This concise online training course will review important enhancements to FARO's Service Plans which were effective on April 1st, 2022. The total amount of time to complete this training is approximately 30 minutes.
FARO BuildIT Projector 2018.5
BuildIT Projector is a software by FARO that allows you to create projection plans and run them with FARO TracerM and TracerSI. This course covers all aspects of the software to allow you to make the most out of your hardware. We will start with the basics, like importing your model and using it to define how to align your projector to it and what lines to project. We will then cover more advanced workflows such as working with multiple tracers (also known as an array), and a little bit on how to work with a TracerSI imaging functionalities for feature-based alignment and in-process verification.
At the end, there’s a simple 5-question quiz to have a sense of your understanding of the material. Once the course is completed, you should be able to create and run projection jobs with your own parts and CAD, whether they are 3D surfaces or 2D drawings.
