Welcome to the FARO® Public Safety (PSA) Training page. Whether you need training on the Laser Scanner and SCENE software, FARO Zone 3D Advanced Software, or the Freestyle, we have a training option for you. ACTAR or IAI CEU Credits are available for many of our course offerings.

Your account will provide access to all FARO Academy resources. At FARO Academy, you will have access to on-demand content as well as the ConnectEd Online Lecture Series. In addition to our virtual classroom options, we also offer the option to train at your location for an additional cost. This in-person training will allow you to customize the curriculum, within the available time frame, to fit your needs. |

Watch the recordings on your own schedule to check out the latest on new products, hear the latest industry information with subject matter experts, or learn a new tool in your favorite FARO Software. You can watch the latest recordings or access archived presentations and even get certificates for courses you attend by taking the knowledge check.

FARO Laser Scanner/SCENE Training

FARO SCENE Interactive Registration
FARO SCENE users can benefit from two key features, Interactive Registration and Hybrid Registration. Interactive scan registration provides an easy-to-use graphical user interface, allowing users to visualize how individual scans are linked together during the registration process and to manually control how those linkages are made. Hybrid registration allows cloud-to-cloud, targets, and survey control to be used together, separately or in various combinations.
FARO Zone Essentials
This course will give you a basic understanding of the FARO Zone software. Please click on the lesson to learn about:
- How to navigate within FARO Zone
- How to import data
- How to make a plan diagram for a scene
- How to export a report
FARO Freestyle 2
This course familiarizes you with the FARO Freestyle 2, an advanced 3D hand-held scanner. You will learn how to set up the hardware, create projects, scan, process, and export projects, and review tips and tricks for quality scanning. This self-paced course takes between 45 minutes and an hour and a half, depending on you! An 80% passing score is required to pass the course and earn a certificate of completion.
Introduction to Using FARO Stream App and Hybrid Reality Capture
This course is going to show you how to use FARO Stream app and Flash Technology in 5 easy steps. Before jumping into these steps, you will first learn what is FARO Stream and Flash.
FARO Scene2Go
This course will review how to use Scene2Go to share and collaborate using your scan data.
SCENE On-Site Registration
This course walks you through using the On-Site Registration feature in SCENE 7.
