Laser Safety Specifications for FARO Laser Line Probes (LLPs)
Laser Safety
All FARO® Laser Line Probe models produce a visible laser beam. The laser is CDRH Class II and IEC Class 2 power level; however operation of the device requires the operator to avoid direct exposure to eyes at all times. You should avoid direct exposure to your eye at all times. Although the human blink reaction to bright light provides a natural mechanism of protection to this visible laser beam, use caution while handling the LLP by pointing it at only the target object.
