Scanner Distance Settings
Overview
Laser scanner distance settings can be changed in the Advanced Settings menu. They offer an option to reduce inaccuracies based on object distance and saturation for the FocusS 150 and FocusS 350.
Details
Switching distance settings alters the scanner output power and laser modulation patterns. This will increase scan accuracy based on object distance and brightness.
Normal Mode - This is the setting recommended for most objects and environments.
Near Mode - Use this setting for objects that are very close and for objects that are very bright.
Far Mode - Use this setting for objects that are farther away (more than 20m) or very dark.
Note: Using the opposite mode for a scan object will increase scan inaccuracies, for example, scanning something very close in Far Mode, etc.
