ZEB Horizon ZEB Cam Firefly 8S Reset

Overview
This article explains how to reset the ZEB Cam for ZEB Horizon - Firefly model 8S.

Procedure
- Remove the camera from the scan head by unscrewing the 4 retaining screws using T20 Torx screwdriver.
- Remove the camera from the frame.
- Remove the lens protection cowling from the front of the camera (simply pull forwards and off).
- Remove the fixing screw in the base of the camera using a 4mm hex key.
- Remove the single screw on the back face of the camera using a T10 Torx screwdriver.
- Slide the back cover down and off the camera frame.
- Slide the cable boot down and out of the camera frame.
- Push the camera and cable assembly backwards and out of the camera frame.
- Disconnect the cable assembly from the camera mini USB B socket.
- Remove the SD card from the camera.
- Power on the camera by pressing the Power/Mode button on the front of the camera.
- Ensure the camera is set to video mode. Short press the Power/Mode button on the front of the camera to cycle between Video mode and Camera mode.
- Enter the camera settings menu page by clicking the Forward button on the side of the camera.
- Enter the Settings page by click the Shutter button on the top of the camera.
- Toggle to the Camera Settings sub-page by clicking the Play button below the SD card slot.
- Navigate the Camera settings options using the Forward and Backward buttons on the Side of the camera. Select the Default Setting option and click the Shutter button on the top of the camera.
- Press the Forward button on the side of the camera to select the Tick and press the Shutter button on the top of the camera to accept this selection. The camera will reset then briefly power off and back on.
- Go back to the Camera settings page again by pressing the Forward button on the side of the camera and then the Shutter button on the top of the camera.
- Use the Play button below the SD card slot to toggle between Video Settings and Camera Settings. On the Video Settings sub-page make the following:

- Press the Power/Mode button to exit the settings page.
- Long press the Power/Mode button to power the camera off.
- Install the SD card in the camera.
- Test the camera:
- Power on the camera by pressing the Power/Mode button.
- After powering on the camera should automatically start to record.
- Stop the recoding the long pressing the Power/Mode button. The camera should turn off.
- Refit the camera in the frame and refit the camera retaining screw with a 4mm hex key.
