Certificates of Calibration Availability for SMR Nests or Tooling Used with the Laser Tracker
Currently, tracker tooling that is purchased as part of one of the Target Tooling Kits have serial numbers and calibration certificates to confirm that the critical dimensions of the nests and tooling are within specified tolerances.

- Hard Case – C-ACC-05455-001
However, target tooling or nests that are purchased separate from one of the target tooling kits do not come with this additional information. Critical dimensions include all mechanical dimensions on a single piece of metal that has been precision machined. These critical dimensions do not change or deviate with storage or temperature changes. With heavy use or accidental damage, such as falling on a hard object, critical dimensions can change.
If your quality procedures require periodic recertification of laser tracker target tooling, you can send them to any laboratory that satisfies your accuracy requirements to get them re-certified.
Prior to July 2013, SMR nests and tooling did not have calibration certificates, nor did they have unique identifying serial numbers.
