Precision Level Health Check Failure with the Laser Tracker

Overview

The Vantage S/E firmware version 2.8.0 corrects issues where the Precision Level Health Check incorrectly reports a failure despite being able to measure Level in CAM2, BuildIT, or another 3^rd party software.

However, this error can persist if the “Date” entry for the precision level on the level page of the Tracker diagnostics is invalid (this is most likely to occur on units serviced or manufactured before March 2020). This can be resolved in the field by running the Level Check in CompIT. To accomplish this, perform the following steps on a Tracker that has completed the startup checks and is in the upright position.

1. Open CompIT
2. Select the Advanced Tab
3. Click Level Check
4. Wait approximately 5 minutes for the Level Check to complete. When complete, CompIT will return to the main screen.
5. Close CompIT
6. Re-run Health Checks
