Connection Issue - Windows 10 Bluescreen on Freestyle 2 Mobile PC
Symptom
Some customers have reported not being able to connect the mobile phone to the Freestyle 2 Mobile PC. When the connection normally should be established, the 3 LEDs on the Freestyle 2 device start blinking and the connection cannot be established. Scanning is not possible anymore because the Windows system on the FS2 Mobile PC has crashed.
Checking if the Windows Bluescreen is Present
Before trying to connect the mobile phone via Wi-Fi to the mobile PC, connect a monitor via an HDMI cable to the Freestyle Mobile PC.
- If you see a Windows desktop, try to establish the Wi-Fi connection between mobile phone and FS2 Mobile PC. If no bluescreen is visible on the monitor, and you are still unable to connect, please reach out to FARO Support for further information.
- If a Windows bluescreen appears, continue with the steps outlined in the “Solution” section below.
