Geoscript - Scripting Language Information
Overview
This article explains in detail the definition of a Geoscript, what language it uses, and it saving location on your computer.
- A Geoscript is our way of combining more than one thing into a workflow. For example, you can process the GeoSLAM file, run our Stop and Go tool to georeference your cloud and output a point cloud of a particular file format all with the click of one button. This is where the power of Connect really comes from
- If you prefer your workflow a different way or want to customize specific settings to make it easier for you, it’s really simple for us or you to change the script to suit your needs
- Geoscripts are a unique scripting language however, it is based on JavaScript. Any user with experience with JavaScript will notice similarities and we can provide assistance with learning the basics for those interested
- Geoscripts are located in your directory wherever you save the 'LidarOS' folder. By default, this is C:\ProgramData\LidarOs\geoscripts.
- When updating the version of Connect, any new geoscripts will be added to this folder. Any other scripts must be placed in this folder to be usable within Connect.
