FARO Licensing Manager Stuck on Loading Screen
Symptom
On launch of the FARO® Licensing Manager application, the user is presented with an endless "loading" screen and license information is not displayed.
Solution
If the FARO® Licensing Manager displays an endless loading screen it’s possible that the Sentinel Admin Control Center has been password protected by the user.
- To confirm this, open http://localhost:1947/_int_/config.html on the affected machine.
If you are prompted with a login screen this indicates the Sentinel Admin Control Center has been password protected.
If you are able to access the configuration page, also verify the "Allow Remote Access to ACC" and "Allow Remote Access to Admin API" options are set to "Disabled":
The FARO Licensing manager does not currently support password protected configurations and will not be able to retrieve licensing information. The password protection must be removed from the Sentinel Admin Control Center in order to use the FARO Licensing Manager.
Remove the Password Protection from the Sentinel Admin Control Center
If you know the password you can follow these steps:
- Go to: http://localhost:1947/_int_/config.html
- Click on Set Password.
- Enter your current password but leave the "New Password" and "Re-enter New Password" fields blank.
- Click Submit. You’ll receive a warning, click on Submit empty password to remove the password protection.
If you do not know the password you can reset all Sentinel Admin Control Center settings:
Use with caution! This will reset ALL settings in Sentinel ACC back to their default values. This includes password protection, remote client/host settings, etc.
- Stop the Sentinel LDK License Manager service (hasplms)
- Delete the file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Aladdin Shared\HASP\hasplm.ini
- Restart the Sentinel LDK License Manager service (hasplms)
