Single Point Articulation Test (SPAT) Specification Is Not Listed on the Quantum FaroArm/ScanArm and Gage
Overview
Older FaroArm® models calibrated under the ASME B89.4.22 standard have always included the Single Point Articulation Test (SPAT) value on a label affixed to the unit. For newer Gen 5 and Gen 6 FaroArm models, this value is no longer provided on the label.
According to the ISO 10360-12 standard, the single point articulation specification is considered more of an intermediate test and does not provide as much value as the Euni (volumetric) spec. Therefore, FARO® no longer provides the listing of this value.
You may view the SPAT specification for your model FaroArm by performing the SPAT routine via the FaroArm Manager, it will automatically recall the specification assigned to the model.
