Handheld and Backpack Modes for the ZEB Vision
Overview
The Vision camera can be used in either handheld mode or using a backpack. Handheld mode is more portable, backpack mode removes the operator from images.
Backpack Mode
There are two options for capturing with a backpack:
- Using the already available backpack frame
- Using the custom GeoSLAM backpack when released
- When processing, the user should select backpack mode. During colorisation this will then apply a particular mask to the images, removing a small portion of the images where the operator may be captured.
- There is a Vision post available to purchase that fits onto the already available backpack frame.
Handheld Mode
- The Vision camera on a Horizon scanner can be used in handheld mode as normal. When used in this way panoramic images are captured, however the operator will be in the rear facing images.
- When processing, the user should select handheld mode. During colourisation this will then apply a particular mask to the images, removing a large portion of the rear facing camera (containing the operator) from the images.
