ZEB Vision Time Synchronisation
Overview
This article explains how the ZEB Vision time synchronization works.
- The camera saves images in scanhead-board (SHB) time. This timeframe starts at 0 every time the scanner is powered on and increases in milliseconds (same as encoder time).
- The camera has an internal clock which resets on every power cycle. The cameras internal clock and SHB time are synchronized by the scanner sending one pulse every second and then the time that pulse was sent by serial.
- The images are converted from camera time to SHB time at the last possible moment- when the images are saved.
