Error-ADM Health Check Failure Using FARO Utilities and the Laser Tracker

Prior to using the FARO^® Tracker's Absolute Distance Meter (ADM) system, the tracker must be sent to the home position while there is a good Spherically Mounted Retroreflector (SMR) present. This is to eliminate the possibility of using the ADM prior to "Adjusting" it so that it reads the correct value of the home position which eliminates additional R0 type error.

If the Health Checks from the FARO Utilities Tracker Pad is run prior to sending the tracker home while there is a good SMR present, the ADM check will indicate that an Adjustment is needed. If sending the tracker to the home position does not resolve this, try a different SMR or contact Support.
