For the ION, X, Xi trackers, the Tracker IP address travels with the Tracker head not the Master Control Unit (MCU). You can continue to use the existing IP address for that Tracker.

The Vantage IP address in wired mode travels with the tracker head and not the MCU. The Vantage IP address in wireless mode depends on the specific MCU being used. However, if the firmware revisions of the Vantage MCU are not compatible with the firmware versions inside the tracker head, the system will not work properly. Therefore, it is not recommended that Vantage MCU and tracker heads be swapped for any reason.
