The Startupcheckslog.txt file contains the results of the CompIT Startup Checks and can be useful when troubleshooting issues with FARO Support Agents. This file is created the first time you run CompIT and Startup Checks on the computer you use to operate the FARO® Laser Tracker. Each time you run Startup Checks, the most recent results append to the end of the file. The only time the Startupcheckslog.txt file does not exist is when CompIT and Startup Checks have not yet been run.

To find the log file on the computer you use to operate the Tracker, use FARO Utilities to connect to the Tracker and click Collect Logs.

To find the log file, click here to download the FARO Tracker Log File Retrieval.zip file to the computer you use to operate the Tracker. Unzip the file and double click the .BAT file contained inside. This file automatically extracts the log file and saves it to a file named FARO_Tracker_Log_Files.zip stored on your Windows desktop.
