Exporting FLS Files with Registration Information in SCENE

In Scene 4.8, the registration result was always written into the FWS and FLS files.

To improve performance, this was changed in Scene 5.0. In the revision system of Scene 5.0, every modification of an FLS file would result in a new revision of this FLS file, and therefore to a huge demand on disk space. If only the position or orientation of the scan changed, we don’t want to write the complete FLS file. Therefore we separated the pure scan data from the registration data. Now the FLS file stays untouched, and only the corresponding file with the registration data gets a new revision.

If you want to get FLS files with the current registration already in them, perform the following:

• Export the project as new project
• Open the new project
• Use “Save Copy of Scan” to create new fls files
