“Global Registration Failed : Not Enough Trajectory Samples” Error Message

Procedure

When processing datasets in GeoSLAM Hub, you may see an error message similar to this:

WARNING: exception : Global registration failed : Not enough trajectory sample, try lowering trajectorySampleTimeDelta

This error message appears usually when the scan is very short, i.e. less than a minute, and GeoSLAM Hub does not have enough geometry information from the environment to generate a 3D point cloud result.

Please capture the scan again, and make sure it is at least 2 minutes of duration. Further guidance for successful scanning can be found on the FARO Academy.
