Limit the Range of the Scanner Prior to Data Capture in GeoSLAM Hub

Overview

This article explains how to limit the range of the scanner in post-processing options.

Procedure

The ZEB Horizon was developed as a longer-range alternative to our ZEB Revo product. The longer range improves SLAM performance outdoors, where typically the distances between the features used in SLAM processing are greater.

It is possible to limit the range of the data used during processing, using the slider in the Reprocess dialog box.

This feature has been added to improve data quality when scanning indoors. You are able to apply an override so that a range limit is applied when data is originally processed – but this could have a negative impact on the success of the SLAM algorithm.
