Reset Settings to the Default Configuration for Measure 10 Interface
Overview
If you are not seeing panels, windows, ribbons, or icons in the Measure 10 user interface that you used to see, if a window is not working correctly, or if after you upgrade from one version of Measure 10 to another you are not seeing parts of the user interface that you used to see, you can restore or reset the settings for the Measure 10 interface to the default configuration or factory settings. There are two methods to do this.
Method 1:
Hold the Shift key on the left-hand side of the keyboard and then launch the software. Hold Shift down the entire time the software is launching. It can be released after you see the measurement window. If this doesn't work, restart the computer and try the procedure again.
Method 2:
Delete the preferences file. Make sure you have show hidden files and folder enabled from your folder options.
- Windows 7
C:\Users\(Your User Name)\AppData\Roaming\CAM2 Measure.
- XP
C:\Documents and Settings\(Your User Name)\Application Data\CAM2 Measure
Under this directory you will see a 10 folder. Delete the preference file “Preferences.txt”. If the panels continually change location on their own, it is recommended that you uninstall and re-install the software.
