Mounting Options for the Cobalt 3D Imager
Overview
In the following article you can find information and recommendations for mounting the FARO® Cobalt 3D Imager.
Mounting Base Plate Recommendations
How you mount a Cobalt 3D Imager depends on the requirements of your project. If your project involves mounting a single Cobalt, you have these options.
- The FARO Pedestal Stand, part number E-ACC-07438-000, offers the highest degree of accuracy for your Cobalt as this stand is resistant to vibrations on the shop floor and most accidental bumps. However, it is not very portable.
- The FARO Lightweight Tripod, part number E-KIT-08386-000 is highly portable and well suited for mobile installations. But, the tripod does not offer a high degree of accuracy as it is not resistant to vibrations and accidental bumps.
Contact your FARO Sales Representative for more information about these options.
