ScanPlan USB Firmware Update From 2020.0 or Earlier Troubleshooting
Behavior
The USB-update might not work on older ScanPlan units with firmware 2020.0 or older. In this case the upload of the Firmware file will not show any progress, even after long time (> 1 minute). The App will show the screen below and appear to be frozen and show 0B/0B. This problem only applies to the upload of the file.
If you are experiencing this problem follow the workaround outlined in the steps below. If you are experiencing other problems with the USB update or any other update, please contact Customer Support. |
Solution
- First abort the frozen upload by clicking on CANCEL. When prompted exit the firmware update by clicking OK.
- Download the firmware update file to your PC or Smartphone.
- Connect with the ScanPlan (via Wifi or USB).
- Go to the update page of the ScanPlan and choose Manual Update and follow the assistant to upload the firmware file to the device.
- The upload to the device should start and show the progress of the Upload in MB. After the progress is showing at least 1 MB uploaded, you may abort the upload by clicking on CANCEL. Don’t wait for the upload to complete. This should be possible after few seconds and will ask you to acknowledge the abort by clicking OK.
- If the upload has finished (or almost finished) do not press CANCEL and you can allow the manual update to complete.
- If the upload has finished (or almost finished) do not press CANCEL and you can allow the manual update to complete.
- After aborting the manual update you should now be able to proceed with USB update and upload the data to the device. See Manual Installation from USB Drive for more information.
