License Activation and Update for As-Built Modeler 2022.1 and Later
Overview
With the release of As-Built Modeler 2022.1 and later, As-Built Modeler licenses are now managed by the FARO Licensing Manager Application. When As-Built Modeler 2022.1 (or later) is installed, FARO InTouch and the FARO Licensing Manager are automatically installed as well. If after installation As-Built Modeler is requesting a new license, close As-Built Modeler and open the FARO Licensing Manager to Activate/Update your license.
To access the Licensing Manager, open InTouch, and click Run on the License Manager tile.
Adding a New License
- Open the Licensing Manager, click on Manage Licenses.
- Click on Activate New.
- In the Product Key field, enter your key and click on Activate.
- In a few moments your license will be activated.
Online Update of an Existing License
- Open the Licensing Manager, click on Manage Licenses.
- Click on the button highlighted in the image below. The License Manage will now attempt to update your license. If it is unable to update your license, please try it again a few more times. If still unsuccessful, follow the steps in the Manual/Offline Update of an Existing License section.
- Once the license is updated, it will appear on the list. Also, a notification will appear next to the bell icon at the top of the page.
- Click on the 3 dots icon and then click Update License Offline.
- Click the C2V icon and save the .C2V file to your hard drive.
- Click on the "Go To Portal" link (internet access required).
- Click Browse an choose the .C2V file from your hard drive created in step 2. Then click the Update button.
- If the process fails, retry by clicking the Update button again.
- If the process fails, retry by clicking the Update button again.
- Download the file and go back to the FARO Licensing Manager application.
- Click in the Apply License Update button and choose the .C2V file downloaded in the previous step.
- The license will now be updated to the new version.
