Startup Issues with As-Built for Revit
Startup Troubleshooting
In case of startup problems with As-Built for Revit that cannot be resolved by a clean re-installation, please proceed as follows:
- Rename the following two configuration data folders for As-Built for Revit, (e.g., by appending the suffix “.old” to the folder names):
- C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\\Roaming\FARO\Revit<Version>
- C:\ProgramData\FARO\Revit<Version>
- Note: The folder (listed in b.) for machine-wide settings/company configuration is not required during some installations and may not exist.

- WARNING: All As-Built-for Revit configuration values will be reset to internal defaults, i.e., customized parameter values in dialogs, point cloud density/noise, etc., will be lost.
- Restart As-Built for Revit.
- Once you have confirmed proper startup and operation of As-Built for Revit, both ".old" folders renamed in Step 1 can be deleted if you are certain the settings are no longer required.
