Floorplan Creation in GeoSLAM Draw
Overview
This article explains how to create a floorplan using GeoSLAM Draw.
Procedure
- You will be able to create a 2D floorplan in GeoSLAM Draw at any height that you would like. You can then select the automatic vectorisation feature which should vectorise the entire floorplan.
- You will, however, need to check that all of the walls have been captured and connected properly. If you need to make any changes, you can use the standard vectorisation tools along the top taskbar (as shown below).
- Unfortunately, GeoSLAM Draw doesn't allow you to create a 3D floorplan. Therefore, you will need to export this 2D floorplan into an external software, for example, REVIT, AutoCAD or SketchUp.
- Our recommendation would be to create the 2D floorplan in GeoSLAM Draw at the floor elevation. This will make it easier when it comes to setting the wall height in the third party software you choose to use.
