Single Point Articulation Test (SPAT) in Measure
Video
If using FaroArm driver v6.1.0 and Later, see this article: Mount Stability and Single Point Articulation Test (SPAT) with the FaroArm
In this 6-minute video, watch a FARO trainer show you how to check that the FaroArm mount is stable before you do the SPAT test, and how to do the test to check the repeatability of the FaroArm's X,Y, and Z coordinates throughout its full range of motion. CAUTION: Depending when you last upgraded your FaroArm driver, you will get better results if you hold the probe tip at a 45-degree angle from vertical (instead of straight-up vertical) and to sweep the FaroArm by holding it by the upper tube (instead of the lower tube). Also, if you are using Measure 10, access the SPAT test in by going to Devices > Device Control Panel > Probe Management > Single Point Articulation.
