Overview
With the release of As-Built™ for AutoCAD® Software and As-Built™ for Autodesk Revit® 2018, FARO® puts the following FARO Autodesk applications to legacy status:

Migration to As-Built
- As-Built for Autodesk Revit replaces PointSense for Revit. It contains all functionality of former PointSense for Revit.
- As-Built for AutoCAD Software replaces PointSense for AutoCAD as well as the other FARO AutoCAD plugins (TachyCAD/DistToPlan for AutoCAD, PhoToPlan for AutoCAD, hylasFM/MonuMap for AutoCAD).
- As-Built Suite replaces PointSense Suite. It contains As-Built for AutoCAD and As-Built for Revit.
Licensing
Part of the As-Built release is the introduction of the new Sentinel licensing system. This allows us to handle our customer’s license requests in a timelier manner.
All current customers with an active maintenance contract of one of the above mentioned FARO products will receive a new Sentinel Softlock license (product key) for the new As-Built software version. Cut-off date is the 30th of April 2018, customers with maintenance contract up to that date will be migrated to As-Built free of charge.
If you require a Hardlock (dongle) instead of the standard Softlock (product key) license, they can purchased on request. Click here to contact FARO Customer Service.
WiBu Codemeters used with previous versions of FARO software products do not have to be returned to FARO. These will remain functional and can be continued to be used with older versions of software.
