Error - Edge FaroArm Not Detected by Windows 10
Overview
In some cases, Windows 10 has been unable to detect legacy Edge FaroArms® (Rev. 3.5 and earlier) after the device has been plugged in to a USB port. Make sure the latest driver, firmware and software has been installed. If the problem persists, try the steps below.
Details
There are multiple solutions to this issue.
- Unplug the FaroArm and plug it back into the USB slot.
- Unplug the FaroArm and plug it into a different USB slot.
- Turn the power to the FaroArm off and then on again.
- Restart FaroArm Manager through the Windows 10 Task Manager.
- Open the Task Manager by pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL and selecting Task Manager or by pressing Windows Key + R and typing TaskMgr into the Run Window.

Select the Processes tab. Right click the FaroArm Manager program and select End Task.

To restart the program, open the Start menu and select FaroArm Manager in the FARO folder.
