The FARO Laser Tracker and TrackArm are precision measurement tools. To get optimal measurement accuracy, follow these guidelines.

  1. Refer to the Tracker User Manual, Understanding Measurement Accuracy section. This section includes information about the conditions that affect measurement accuracy, Tracker features for controlling accuracy, and tips for working with them.   2. Download one of these technical papers to familiarize yourself with the Tracker accuracy calculations.
  3. Always apply best practices with working with your Tracker. Click here to view the best practices article.
  4. Always use the latest Tracker firmware. Firmware contains upgrades and bug fixes that may affect the accuracy of your measurements. Find links to the firmware in the See Also section of this article.
